I live in the area I am seeking to represent

My iwi affiliation through my patrilineage is Ngäi Tühoe and Ngäti Ranginui. Raised with 10 siblings by my parents in Wainui, Ohope and then Whakatäne, I attended Ohope Beach Primary, James Street Primary, Whakatäne Intermediate and Trident High Schools. I studied at Waiariki Institute of Technology, Open Polytechnic, University of Waikato and Te Whare Wänaga o Awanuiärangi.

My career spans 20 years, primarily within accounting and management. I have worked for a multi-national dairy co-operative and forestry organisation, Whakatäne Chartered Accountancy firms, the Ministry of Justice and for the past six years within the Education sector.

This opportunity will allow me to focus on sustainable economic development, fiscal efficiencies, core infrastructural services and public safety. I will achieve results through an informed decision-making process that is transparent, effective and unbiased, and which considers the environmental, cultural and social impacts for the long-term benefit of our community.
