Born and raised in Dunedin, from Brighton to North East Valley. I have always taken a keen interest in local body politics and current events. I have been an active supporter and participant of local community activities. The time has come to take the next step, in advocating for youth, elderly, and other disadvantaged sectors of our community. I was a founding member of the DCC youth forum, and am actively involved in sport, Kapa Haka, and Waitangi Day celebrations. If elected I will advocate for the unspoken youth voice in Dunedin, and those who are struggling. My priorities are improving sustainable public transport, initiatives for youth participation, and general improvement in living standards for Dunedin citizens. I have the ability to bring fresh ideas to the Council table. The Council should reflect our society, and allow youth to have a voice in decision making. Tick one for Martini Samson.
